In the context of growing demand for the incorporation of recycled materials in packaging, a guidance document to securing the incorporation of recycled plastics in cosmetics packaging was developed by a joint ELIPSO-FEBEA working group involvingexperts from both associations.
ELIPSO (the trade association representing manufacturers of plastic and flexible packaging) and FEBEA (the trade association representing manufacturers of cosmetic products) point out that this document does not constitute a legal interpretation of the regulations applicable to packaging intended for cosmetic products. It does not exempt any operator from their responsibilities in complying with these regulations.
The guidance document is available in French as well as English, to facilitate exchanges with stakeholders based outside France.
